About the Job
We are an established Twentynine Palms, CA Electrical Contractor who is currently in a 5 year Electrical MACC through NAVFAC Southwest. We currently are working at various bases in Southern California on electrical projects in the 1:10 million range. We are looking for a strong Superintendent for a Microgrid Expansion project at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Station at Twentynine Palms, CA. The term of the project is 1 year with opportunity to provide supervision on future projects. Top salary paid commensurate with experience.
:Fully understand all subcontracts, drawings and specifications
:Enforce safety initiatives to ensure EM:385 and OSHA safety standards are met and/or exceeded
:Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns and other project specific issues
:Review the daily progress of work completed and deliver daily reports to the project team
:Develop and maintain professional relationships with owners, on:site staff, subcontractors and other Government key personnel
:Prepare and maintain all documentation to ensure project is delivered on:time and within budget
:Meet weekly and communicate daily with project manager and subcontractors to assess project progress, scheduling, changes and deliveries
:Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to coordinate with subcontractors and lead weekly construction meeting with team members, including Government personnel.
:5+ years of experience in the Government (NAVFAC, USACE) construction industry working on ground up projects in the 5:25 million range
:Bachelors degree in Project Management or Engineering is a plus, but not required
:Ability to manage critical path construction schedule; work monthly with project scheduler to update P6 CPM.
:Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
:Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Scheduling Software (Primavera or similar)
:USACE NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification
:EM 386:1:1 40 Hours certification, OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification.
:Proven track record in delivering projects on budget and on time
:Experience on highly complex electrical projects a plus
:Experience on projects with complex control systems a plus
:Experience building electrical substations a plus
:Excellent interpersonal skills
