Job Description Overview: GDM, Inc. is a general contractor and construction procurement firm that provides heavy equipment rentals, construction materials, tools and staff for the utility, engineering and construction industry. Job Description GDM, Inc. is currently seeking for a Project Analyst position. This position requires fieldwork and data entry. The field analysts will work with field crew members to collect information and document field conditions. The documented conditions will need be analyzed and accurately input into a database and spreadsheets. Responsibilities may include: · Interfacing and inputting data into tablet computers and/or digital cameras. · Inputting/documenting worked time – daily or weekly (paper records or PC based). · Initiating Job Briefing form per safety requirements. · Taking field notes and photos of existing field conditions. · Providing resolution to unforeseen issues and dilemmas. · Reporting irregularities to project management stakeholders through field tools or verbally. · Delivering expected results in a timely manner that meets project estimates. · Working effectively in a team environment. · Might work in confine spaces to gather data. · Managing time, prioritizing work and documenting tasks. · Attending weekly safety meetings and sign Safety Topic Sheet (eg, Green or Yellow). · Maintains a safety conscious work environment by influencing others to follow safety protocols and safe work practices. · Operating a company vehicle in a safe and professional manner (adhering to driver’s safety policy). · Able to drive, traverse on uneven surfaces, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs., sit/stand for extended periods of time, work in various weather conditions, and possibly be in remote regions (coast, desert, and mountain) for extended periods of time. Requirements: · Lifting and moving 50 pounds or less. · Keeping a current driver’s license (CDL and/or state). · Keeping a clean and organized work station both physically and virtually. · Maintaining a properly clean company vehicle and tools. · Dressing appropriately for work activities and wearing Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) when required per Safety Hand Book or determined by management. · Using all company assets for company use only (eg, copiers, plotters, PCs, vehicles, etc.). Unless approval is given by management for other use. · Adhering to all company safety policies, practices, programs and procedures directed by management. · Being punctual for daily start times and meetings. · Renewing all required certificates/licenses prior to expiration date. Qualifications: Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent. College or other advanced education. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills required. Effective communication skills required.
