Department: Sales
Reports To: General Manager
Status: Full Time
The primary duties of the Sales Manager are to lead the hotel sales effort, to achieve company goals and to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure sales quotas are met. This position is responsible for both room and large room revenue by regularly selling group events through direct client contact.

:Achieve budgeted revenues and direct the overall sales effort to achieve current year financial goals and set plans for the future. This means participation the preparation of annual operating budget, hotel marketing plan and business plan.
:Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates and increase volume in room and conference room sales.
:Develop and maintain relationships with clients and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or individual ongoing business to include meeting and room sales.
:Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed the plan.
:Provide guests and groups with information including; loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, facility information, ect . . . to enhance guest experience.
:Keep abreast on all hotel rating and review sites to ensure immediate follow up with site and guest. Monitor all performance ratings and report to manager areas of positive and negative feedback.
:Manage all RFPs sent tot he hotel and respond with quotes accordingly.

:Minimum 1 year sales experience in a management sales position or coordinator role.
:Excellent verbal and written communcation skills.
:Demonstrated organizational skills

:Hospitality career path
:Oral and presentation skills
Education and Experience:
:High School diploma or equivalent required.
:Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
:Sales experience preferred.
Physical requirements:
:Ability to travel to client locations.
