Job Description
STG International is currently seeking Systems Specialists for Head Start Training and Technical Assistance Services Contract in Region IX. The Systems Specialist will attend meetings in the Regional Office in San Francisco as part of the position.
Responsibilities include:
Participate on a regional team to identify cross-system coordination opportunities between OCC and OHS in the region;
Participate on regional team to link TTA resources and training to the Child Care Resource and Referral network and other such organizations, as appropriate;
Participate on a regional team to provide information, consultation, and technical assistance to TTA staff on work related to coordination and collaboration between Head Start and child care programs;
Participate on a regional team to aggregate and analyze regional data related to Head Start and child care collaboration to identify cross-system coordination and collaboration issues, for example analyze data related to Head Start participation in Quality Rating Improvement Systems (QRIS);
Provide direct TTA to Head Start/Early Head Start grantees as time permits and at the direction of the Regional Office;
Develop partnership with Region IX and State Head Start Associations to coordinate and collaborate professional development opportunities and identify regional and state priorities.; and
Incorporate other tasks reflective of evolving national priorities as presented by the Office of Head Start, National Centers, Regional Offices and/or aggregate regional assessment data
Required Skills
+ A minimum of a BA or a BS, with a preference for a Master s Degree, from an accredited university or college in early childhood education, child development or related degree. If the highest degree was awarded more than ten years ago, the resume should be specific regarding such events as courses, conferences, seminars attended that ensure the specialist remains current in their field;
+ A minimum of seven years of experience. At least 3 years with the provision of technical assistance and consultation to Head Start and child care programs is preferred; at least 3 years experience working with partnerships such as partnerships among Head Start/Early Head Start, child care and state prekindergarten programs;
+ Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in developing successful collaborations within state early childhood systems, familiarity with Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations; state child care licensing standards and regulations; and QRIS;
+ Knowledge of state systems in the ACF region; and
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing to various audiences.
+ Travel up to 75% throughout CA, NV, AZ, Hawaii and Guam.
