The Chijnaya Foundation is in the process of moving from an organization run by the volunteer founders to one that has a small professional staff to take over responsibility for performing many of the tasks currently carried out by the volunteer president. This is the first step in the transition toward a sustainable nonprofit foundation capable of continuing to cooperate with communities in southern Peru on projects aimed at improving the quality of life for indigenous families on the Altiplano. For the right person who is successful in growing the organization, this job may evolve into a position of Executive Director of the Foundation. During the first year, it will be possible to consider a part-time or full-time position on a contract basis to work out of the Foundation’s office in Palm Springs, California.
