2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Kings 6:17 [Things we can't see with our flesh eyes are there anyway].

Things that are Temporary/Seen: Material, In process, Appearances, Changing, Time bound, Natural.

Things that are Eternal/Unseen: Spirit, Wholeness, Complete, Changeless, Timeless, Supernatural.

Compare them side by side, word for word. See the obvious differences between the two.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made [we humans are made], even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: [If you just look around you, how can you not know there is a God?]

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

The world offers temporal; outward man, material things, temporal solutions, not pleasing to God, no peace, Death, starving of the spirit, carnally minded, evil things. [See Romans 8:8.] [1 John 2:15].

Jesus offers eternity; inward man, spiritual things, eternal solutions, pleasing to God, peace, life, feeding of the spirit, spiritually minded, good things.

Again, compare the above two categories [world and Jesus] side by side. The differences are evident.

Which eyes and ears are being spoken of in the following verses? Matthew 9:30, 13:13-16; John 12:40. Spiritual eyes and ears!

Which do you feel is more important? Temporary or eternal? Actions speak louder than words!

Food for thought: The natural man must know in order to believe; the spiritual man must believe in order to know.
